History
Ojan Shimi Tabriz Company (private joint stock) was established on 12/25/1381 with national ID number 10860365541 as a private joint stock company and registered under number 407 in Azarshahr Companies Registration Office.
The word Ojan is the original and ancient name of the city of Bostan Abad, located 35 km from Tabriz, which was the birthplace of lubricant oil sellers in the province, and the reason for choosing this name for the company was the founders’ affiliation with this city. With a distance of 250 meters from the Tehran-Tabriz railway, in addition to being connected to the national railway, this company is also connected to the European railway through the connection to the Turkish railway as the gateway to Europe, which is considered a privileged and strategic position.
This geographic advantage caused Sepahan Oil Company to buy 70% of the company’s shares in 2016 with the aim of adding a rail route to the water route for export, in order to bypass possible sanctions. The main center of the company and factory is located in Tabriz, Azarshahr road, Shahid Salimi town, at the end of the first 45 meters.
Having steel tanks with a capacity of 8000 tons, the company has the largest storage volume of petroleum products after Tabriz Refinery and Petrochemical. 3000 tons of these tanks with epoxy inner surface are used to store corrosive substances such as monoethylene glycol.
The area of the company is about 8000 square meters in two separate parts, which is divided into 2 parts: production and filling of oil and production of plastic containers.
Main activity
The subject of the company’s activity according to Article 2 of the Articles of Association is, in short, the establishment and creation of factories for the purpose of manufacturing all kinds of motor and industrial oils and by-products and their derivatives for supply and sale inside or outside the country, procurement and supply of machinery, equipment spare parts, raw materials and intermediates from inside or outside the country for storage, production, mixing, blending, processing, packaging and supply and distribution of products as well as export and import of all types of permitted goods, creation and liquidation of representative offices abroad and all operations and transactions related to the subject of the company.
Until 2013, the company’s only mission was to distribute the products of Sepahan Oil Company in the northwest region of the country, East and West Azerbaijan, Ardabil and Kurdistan, which of course is considered our main mission even today. Sales statistics show. In 2015, Ojan Shimi Tabriz was able to bring Speedy brand to the second place in terms of best sales in East and West Azerbaijan.
Since 2013, according to the existence of the necessary infrastructure, the mission of Speedy antifreeze-antifreeze production was assigned to the company. In 2017, the company produced over 2,400 tons of antifreeze. Of course, about 100 tons of this amount of production was exported to Eastern Europe with the company’s own registered antifreeze brand called AZ.TOIL. With the measures taken and in order to increase the antifreeze production capacity, in 2017, the company’s antifreeze production license was increased from 3000 tons to 6000 tons.
In 2017, following the order of the senior management of Sepahan Oil Company to create a platform for the production of plastic containers in the company with the aim of meeting part of the needs of the parent company, the container manufacturing unit of the company was established and the operating license for the production of polyethylene containers with a capacity of 495 tons per year was obtained. The company is also equipped with an oil production line with a daily capacity of 16 tons
According to the strategy announced by the major shareholder of the mother company, in 2018, the company was tasked with producing 1000 tons of motor oil under its registered oil brand called ATAOIL and supplying it throughout the country. Zanibi filled the bulk oil transported from Sepahan Oil Refinery in order to provide the inventory of the parent company’s warehouse number 62 with the company, and as a result, it undertook a wider coverage of the area under its coverage. This mission became especially important after the damaging fire of Madar Refinery, but it was stopped in 2016 due to numerous legal problems. With the order of the senior management, it is planned to restart the above mission this year. The filling capacity of Ojan in total bucket, cask, 4 liter and 1 liter lines is 130 tons per day.
Environmental activities of the company
In line with its cultural, social and humanitarian mission, this company has carried out various significant environmental activities and every year during the tree planting days, according to the old and good tradition, by preparing a large number of tree saplings and planting them in different places, especially in the company premises and Shahid Salimi Industrial Town. Wajade Tabriz, Azarshahr plays a role. Another environmental measure of Ojan Chemical Company is to supply electricity from clean and renewable solar and wind energy, installing solar panels and wind turbines in 2019.
Also, to supply water to irrigate green spaces and trees, a large reservoir has been considered to collect water from snow and rain in the seasons of the year. They are sent to the green spaces and planted trees.
One of the latest activities of Ojan Shimi Tabriz company in relation to friendship with nature is trying to launch the production line of the Ad blue project, which is also in the final stages.
It is necessary to briefly explain that the fluid (Ad blue liquid) is filled separately in its own tank in Euro 4 diesel cars and after the combustion of the exhaust gases from the engine cylinder and before the smoke exits from the exhaust, it is automatically injected into the polluting gases. It makes the amount of pollution very small. Tabriz Ajan Chemical Company has the honor of being the only domestic producer of Ad blue in the region. It is hoped that we will be more and better protectors of nature in the future.
